it is not fair!!

Thursday September 25th, Matthew 20:  9 "The workers who were hired about the eleventh hour came and each received a denarius. 10 So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius. 11 When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner. 12 'These men who were hired last worked only one hour,' they said, 'and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.' This all could have been avoided you know.  If only the steward who paid them, paid the ones hired first before he paid the ones hired last.  They would have had their money and been on their way happy, content and clueless and any negative fallout could have been covered in the media.  But No, he had to make an issue out of it.  Why?   Well, perhaps for the landowner in the story, and for Jesus, it is because the lesson was more important than the pay.  And the lesson; all grace is amazing grace, and if you are working in the kingdom for special reward, you are there for the wrong reason.  If church must remain your church and not their church, then you gather for the wrong reason.  The reward is the work, and all are sought out and put to work.  That is the Kingdom justice, and you are right, it is not fair!!  But it is grace.
