same place

Tuesday December 9^th 2 Peter 3:  ¹²Daily expect the Day of God, eager for its arrival. The galaxies will burn up and the elements melt down that day-- ¹³but we'll hardly notice. We'll be looking the other way, ready for the promised new heavens and the promised new earth, all landscaped with righteousness.  Spending all your energy getting ready is vastly different from living a life being ready.  We are called to be ready for God not get ready for God.  What does that entail?  It entails loving God with all your heart, soul and mind and your neighbor as yourself.  If you are busy doing that, you won’t even notice all the hype about when the second coming will be.  But then, it wouldn't really matter anyway.  It is a small transition from the Kingdom of God in your heart to the Kingdom of God in heaven.  Maybe they are even the same place.  So, daily expect the day of God, with eagerness.
